Steps to Install a Joomla Template
Once you are done with Joomla template download, then the real installation process begins with some simple steps.
At First, log in to your Joomla control panel using your "Username" and "Password."
Next, click on the Extension. From the drop-down menu, click "Manage" and then select "Install".
A new Installation page will appear there. Now select "Upload Package File" from the tab options.
Then "Drag and drop the file directly there" or click "Or browse for file" button, browse to the location of your extension's archive on your local computer and select it .
Note: The template has now been installed if you have chosen the right package. Wait for a second; you must see a message that "Installation of the template was successful". Your template is now ready to live now.
Now, if you want to make the template as default for all the pages of your site, then go to Extensions > Templates > Styles and set your template to default by clicking the star button.

Get Access to the Joomla Extension Manager
First, log in to your Joomla admin area with "Username" and "Password". Then, access the Joomla Extension Manager by going to Extensions -> Manage -> Install.
Here, you will have 4 different installation options mentioned below,
- Install from Web
- Upload Package File
- Install from Folder
- Install from URL
Option 1 - Install from Web
It is one of a new and the most convenient option that Joomla offers with its latest version. However, being new, it remains as a hidden feature to most of the Joomla users.
However, by clicking the "Install from Web" button you will get a full window of Joomla extension directory, there you get category wise extension also search your desired extension, sort out with a review, name, score and many more.
Choose any extension -> click over it -> an install button will appear -> press to install -> wait for a while . A green message will appear on the top as "Installation of the package was successful." That's it!
Option 2 - Upload Package File
This is the most used option to install any extension to Joomla. Just press the "Or browse for file" button, browse to the location of your extension's archive on your local computer and select it or "Drag and drop the file directly there".
Option 3 - Install from Folder
This option is for the large extensions. Specify the path to the extension folder and then press the "Check and Install button." Joomla 3 will check the folder you've specified and installed the extension itself if it is uploaded correctly.
Option 4 - Install from URL
If you want to install the extension directly through a URL, you just need to enter the direct address of the zip file of that extension and press the "Check and Install button." Joomla 3 download it itself and then extract and make the necessary installations for you.
