One cubic wave per row, meeting without a kink.

Colour

Leaves the backdrop unpainted so the pattern drops onto any surface. Ridgeline and Iso Cube Grid still paint the colour above, because it is what hides the shapes behind them.

Infrastructure that gets out of the way

How it works

A single cubic curve per cell, entering and leaving at the same height with both control points pulling the same way. Matching the heights alone is not enough — a wave with mirrored controls meets its neighbour at the right place but the wrong angle, and the seam shows as a row of small corners. Continuity of slope is what makes the row read as one line rather than as a chain of arcs.
