Questions about this stack
Midjourney or Leonardo.Ai?
Midjourney for the look, Leonardo for the control. Midjourney's default aesthetic is still the strongest of the two and its style references hold a series together. Leonardo gives you pose, depth and edge guidance, custom model training and an API, which is what you need when the images have to match an existing direction rather than establish one.
When should I reach for Ideogram instead?
Whenever the image has to contain words. Legible in-image text is the thing the other two are still unreliable at, and a poster, a piece of packaging or an ad with a headline baked in is Ideogram's whole case. For images with no type in them it has no particular advantage.
Runway or Pika for video?
Runway for anything that has to sit in a real edit — camera controls, performance capture and video-to-video restyling are built for production work. Pika for short social pieces where the effect is the point. They overlap less than the category suggests.
