Infrastructure that gets out of the way
A worked example — your pattern, sitting behind real page furniture.
Start buildingHow it works
Lines run outward from a single centre at evenly spaced angles, and the only thing that changes between them is where each one stops. The outer end rides a rose curve — cos(kθ) — so the petal count is an integer you set directly and the depth control decides how far the rim dips between petals. Set the petals to zero and the reach is constant, which gives a plain annulus; the moire that appears at high spoke counts is not drawn, it is the interference between the spoke spacing and the pixel grid.
