Colour

Leaves the backdrop unpainted so the pattern drops onto any surface. Ridgeline and Iso Cube Grid still paint the colour above, because it is what hides the shapes behind them.

How it works

The projection is the one used for the cube grid, but nothing is filled — only the twelve edges of each box are stroked, and cells are dropped at random until the lattice is more gap than structure. Removing the fills removes the occlusion that made the cube grid legible, so far edges show straight through near ones and the drawing stops committing to a single reading. Density is the whole control: near one it is a solid block of scaffolding, and low down it becomes a scatter of separate frames sharing one horizon.
