Built around the season, not the brochure
Most club sites bury the thing supporters actually came for. Strike puts fixtures, results and the league position at the top of the home page, and keeps them there as the season moves. The layout is deliberately asymmetric, so the next match reads as the most important item on the page rather than one card in a row of four.
Everything below that follows the rhythm of a season: recent results, squad changes, club news, then the longer-running material about history and facilities that people read once and rarely return to.
Everything a club needs to publish
Fixtures, scores and squad records are ordinary Joomla content, so a club secretary can maintain them without a developer. Match reports carry photo and video galleries. Squad pages hold position, appearances and a biography for each player. A single contact form routes membership, sponsorship and press enquiries to different inboxes.
Because this Joomla sports template supports language associations, a club publishing in two languages can attach a translation to every fixture, profile and report rather than running a parallel site.
