Quix GDPR compliant
At Quix, we take privacy seriously. We ensure that Quix itself does not track, collect, or store any user data. However, as a site owner, you are responsible for handling form submissions, cookies, and third-party services on your website. Quix provides built-in tools to help you stay GDPR-compliant effortlessly.
No Tracking by Quix
Quix does not collect any personal data from your website. We do not track visitor activity, store form submissions, or log user interactions. Your website's data remains completely under your control. If your site collects data through forms, cookies, or analytics, you are responsible for ensuring GDPR compliance.
Google Fonts: Hosted Locally for GDPR Compliance
By default, websites load Google Fonts from Google's servers, which can send user data outside the EU. To prevent this, Quix offers GDPR compliance mode.
🟢 When enabled, Quix automatically downloads and hosts Google Fonts on your own server.
🟢 This ensures no external requests are made to Google, improving privacy.
🟢 Visitors' data stays protected, keeping your site compliant.
Google Maps & Embedded Videos: Consent-Based Loading
Some third-party services, like Google Maps and YouTube, automatically collect user data. To comply with GDPR, Quix adds an extra consent layer before loading these services.
How it Works:
🚫 By default, Google Maps and embedded videos will not load automatically.
✅ Instead, a consent message appears with a button (e.g., “Click to Load”).
🔓 Only after visitors explicitly agree, the content will load.
This prevents unwanted data sharing and keeps users in control.
Quix Forms: Optional Consent Checkbox
If your website uses Quix Forms to collect user data, you can enable an optional consent checkbox.
🟢 Users must check a box (e.g., "I agree to the privacy policy") before submitting their details.
🟢 This ensures explicit user consent for data collection.
🟢 You can customize the text and link it to your privacy policy.
📌 Note: Quix does not store form submissions. All form data is handled by your site.
Data Transparency: Your Data Stays with You
We want to be 100% clear: Quix does not collect, process, or store any user data from Quix pages.
🟢 No tracking.
🟢 No analytics.
🟢 No data collection.
All information collected on your site is your responsibility.
Privacy Documentation for Site Owners
Since Quix does not process visitor data, site owners must ensure compliance. To help you, we provide:
📄 A privacy policy template – This explains how Quix’s third-party integrations work.
⚡ Clear guidelines on what you need to disclose in your privacy policy.
You can use this to keep your site transparent and compliant.
Final Note
Quix does not control website access, process form data, or track visitors. Our role is to provide tools that help you stay compliant with GDPR. By enabling our privacy features, you ensure your site respects user choices and data protection laws.
