Download Packages

1. Login to your account on ThemeXpert.com.
2. Go to the Downloads > Joomla Templates > Strike from the Dashboard.

The Strike template download section includes the following files:

• Strike Quickstart Package
• Strike Template
• Quix Presets

Quickstart (Demo) Installation

To set up the quickstart, you should follow the same steps as you would for installing Joomla 5. You cannot add the quickstart to an existing Joomla 5 site through the extension manager because it includes all the core files of Joomla 5. Therefore, simply install the quickstart package as you would install Joomla 5. Follow the quickstart installation guide for detailed instructions.

Manual Installation

Install the Strike template and Quix page builder (Pro) on your existing Joomla website.

1. Go to Extensions > Upload Package Files from the Install section in the site administrator panel System Dashboard.
2. Drag and Drop or Browse the following files: 
   
   - Strike Template
   - Quix Pro

Strike Template Installation

The Strike template already includes the Helix Ultimate framework, so you don't need to install it separately. The framework is part of the Strike Template .zip file, which simplifies the process.

1. After installing the template, navigate to the Plugin Manager in the Manage section of the System Dashboard.
2. In the search field, type "Helix Ultimate" and press Enter or click the Search icon.
3. This will bring up the System-Helix Ultimate Framework plugin. Check the box next to it and click the Enable button to activate the plugin.

 

Quix Pro Installation

There are two versions of the Quix files available for installation: Quix 4 and the Quix installer. Quix 4 is the complete package of the Quix page builder and is contained in a file named pkg_quix_pro.zip with a size of 11 MB. However, Joomla has a file upload limit of 2MB for installations, which may pose a challenge for users who are not familiar with technical procedures to increase the limit via the server or cPanel.

To address this limitation, we strongly recommend users install the Quix installer file instead. The Quix installer's file name is com_iquix-1.7.0.zip, and it's only 48KB in size. Installing the Quix page builder using the Quix installer involves only 5 simple steps. For detailed instructions, please follow the guide here.

Import Quix Presets

1. Unzip the contents of the quix-presets.zip file.
2. Go to the Joomla site administrator panel and click on "Quix - Page Builder" in the menu on the left.
3. To create a new page in the Quix Panel, click on the "New Page" button and enter the desired page name (e.g., "Home").
4. After creating the Home page, access the page builder. To import Quix presets, follow these steps:
   
   
   
   - Click on the "Bar" icon on the right side of the top bar to open a dropdown menu.
   - Select "Import JSON" from the dropdown menu.
   - In the "Import to Library" panel, import the Quix presets by either dragging and dropping each file into the Import field or uploading them one by one. Make sure to import all files before proceeding.
   - Once all JSON files are imported, open the My Templates panel by clicking on the "Add template" button below the builder. The My Templates panel will allow you to view, edit, and use the imported Quix presets for your website.

Home Page Setup

1. Click on the "New Page" button and enter a name for the page in the provided field. Then, click "OK".
2. Click on the "Add Template" button to open the Quix Library panel.
3. Go to the "My Templates" tab and click the "Insert" button for the "Home" page template.

Repeat the above steps for each page you wish to create, such as:

• Home
• About
• Contact
• Team
• Score
• Blog

Typography

 You can change your site typography from helix settings panel

 

Header Setup

Navigate to the Helix Framework settings within your Joomla site administrator panel.

 

In the settings, choose a predefined header layout that suits your website’s design.

 

Add Logo and Favicon

We should upload our website's logo and favicon in the Logo panel, which is located in the Basic settings.

Add Main Menu 

A website's menu is an essential element as it helps visitors navigate to different pages on the site. Therefore, it's crucial to have a menu that is easily accessible. Let's create the main menu now to enable users to find what they're looking for quickly and easily.

To do this, go to the Menu Builder panel and find the Menu settings. From the drop-down menu labeled "Select Menu Type," choose the main menu you wish to display. Usually, this menu serves as the primary navigation system on your website and should be structured in a way that is intuitive and user-friendly. 

Offcanvas Menu

When creating a mobile menu, you can choose the placement of the menu icon on the screen - Left or Right. Select Off-canvas styles like Left Align, Left Bordered, and Center Align to customize the look.

Footer Setup

1. Go to the site administrator panel and select "Quix Page Builder".
2. In Quix, click on the "Footer" panel.
3. Press the "New Template" button.
4. Enter "Footer" in the Template Name field.
5. Choose "Footer" from the Template Type dropdown menu.
6. Save your settings by clicking on the appropriate options.
   
   
   
7. Once created the Footer, click on the Add Template button.
8. Now insert the footer.Click on the "Save" button to prompt the Publish Settings to appear.
   
   
   
   
   
9. Click on the "Add Condition" button and choose between "Include" and "Default - Entire Site" to position the footer.

 

Install Quix Pages Manually

In the downloads panel of your Themexpert dashboard, navigate to the Joomla Templates options for the Strike template. Download the Quix Pages package and install it manually.

 

Install Template Settings (Helix Framework) Manually

Follow the same process as for the Quix Pages package. Download the Template Settings (Helix) and install it manually.

Upgrade Instructions

Take a full backup: It is highly recommended to create a complete backup of your data before starting any upgrades. This precautionary step can reduce the risk of losing important information in case of any unexpected issues. If any problem arises during the upgrade, having backup files will allow you to easily restore your data, ensuring that everything remains safe and secure.
